“Tucker” and “Jager”, both German Shorthair Pointers, belonging to Joe and
Cindy Orndorff of Wardensville, WV, won 1st and 3rd Prizes at the 2008 Quail
Hollow Hunts Chukar Challenge held Saturday, November 15th at Quail Hollow
Farm in Berkeley Springs.  “Remmy”, an English Cocker belonging to Bob
Schiavoni of Winchester, VA, won 2nd Prize.  Mike Wilder of Berkeley Springs
judged the competition, which was a simulated bird hunt using Chukar
Partridges. Points were garnered by the number of shells not used, bagged
birds, finds or points, retrieves and time not used of the allotted 15 minutes per
trial.  The event was judged by Mike Wilder of Great Cacapon, WV.

All entries must be reserved by Nov.1st
*Running order based on date entry received
-        
$60.00 entry fee = 1 Hunter, 1 Dog, 3 Chukar, 6 Shells and 15 Minutes

SCORING
-        20 points for each bagged chukar in hand
-        15 points for each "find" (flushed or pointed)
-        10 points for each retrieve within one (1) step of hunter(s)
-        5 points for each remaining loaded shell
-        1 point for each full 20 seconds under the allocated qualifying time limit;
time stops when last bird is in the hunter’s hand
-        200 max. pts. Tie scores will be broken 1st by retrieving points; 2nd by
remaining shell points; and 3rd by lowest qualifying time.
